Increasingly, legislation
on many issues which affect people involved with the construction industry
is being driven by Europe.
Recognising this, the FMB
became a founder member and an active voice within the European Builders
Confederation, a group of national building federations representing small
and medium sized building businesses among the member states of the
European Union and Switzerland. The Confederation represents some 350,000
building employers.
The EBC aims to raise
standards in business management and technical application throughout its
European membership and will put forward the agreed collective views of
any member nation to the European Commission for further action.
For members of the FMB, the EBC logo may be displayed alongside
the FMB logo on letterheads and publicity material.
